Corruption affects healthcare effectiveness and efficiency and limits equity in access to health services. Aim of the survey was to document knowledge and viewpoints on the impact of corruption on healthcare system in a sample of students attending pre-lauream healthcare professional courses at Palermo University Medical school and to evaluate any improvement in their awareness on this topic after a dedicated multidisciplinary educational intervention. L’intervento mirava a verificare se, integrando l’azione della scuola, che è un’agenzia educativa formale, con quella di agenzie formative non formali che operano nello stesso territorio dell’Istituto professionale coinvolto nella ricerca, si abbassava il tasso di dispersione scolastica nel primo biennio. In un territorio economicamente depresso e con un alto tasso di delinquenza minorile, per prevenire l’uscita dal sistema dell’istruzione e della formazione degli adolescenti di età compresa fra i 14 e i 18 anni occorre fare rete tra scuola, famiglia, mondo del lavoro e agenzie formative non formali localmente presenti. Adriano Olivetti (1901-1960) was the promoter of an unprecedented business project that not only concerned the economic sphere, but also included architecture, social development, politics, the value of the person and of the culture. This paper examines the educational role played by culture in the Olivetti’s project as a way of human growth. To clarify the identity of the Olivetti’s culture, various sources were questioned: the personal library, the editorial choices, his coworkers and the good educational practices carried out in the Olivetti factory. Work-based learning has been developing rapidly in Latvia for the last three years. Since 2017, the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia has been implementing a project of the European Social Fund, which provides for a tripartite learning implementation agreement between the educational institution, the student, and the employer. The project targets vocational learners, but equivalent opportunities are also spoken of in higher vocational education. Such an approach would help the employer direct the future employees in the direction of acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills.
